Dr. Bridges graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of Virginia, and continued studies there earning his medical degree. He then moved east to Richmond for residency in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. After residency, while serving four years in the United States Air Force and achieving the rank of Major, he developed a passion for Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Demonstrating his commitment to excellence, he pursued and was awarded a highly competitive fellowship in Houston, Texas with a world renowned Facial Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Bridges, his wife, and young twins then returned to the Richmond area to join Dr. Patrick Gibbons where he started Commonwealth Facial Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Bridges is Double Board Certified in Facial Plastic / Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery. This means that in addition to specializing in diseases of the ears, nose, and throat, he is super-specialized in cosmetic surgery of the face, head, and neck. He has high level expertise in Primary and Revision Rhinoplasty, Septal Perforation Repair, Septal Deviation Repair (Septoplasty), Facelift/Browlift, Eyelid Rejuvenation (Blepharoplasty), Scar Revision, Facial Reconstruction, and Otoplasty.
