Facial Fillers - Restylane / Perlane / Juvederm / Radiesse
Restore your Face with Facial Fillers
Are Facial Fillers right for you?
Facial fillers are ideal if you’re concerned with face wrinkles. This quick, non-surgical procedure temporally fills in creases and wrinkles. Fillers are a safe and affordable way to relieve wrinkles without costly cosmetic surgery. Dr. Bridges uses multiple types of facial fillers, depending on the needs of the patient. These include Restylane/Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse, and Sculptra (more info here).
What types of facial fillers does Dr. Bridges use?
Dr. Bridges provides a wide range of facial filler options. These include Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Restylane, Perlane, and Radiesse. The type of filler chosen is based on the needs of the patient and the areas of concern to be treated.
What happens during a Facial Filler procedure?
Fillers can be injected in the office usually the same day as the initial consult. Topical numbing cream can be used or dental blocks may be performed if needed. Recently, both Restylane and Juvederm have devised new formulations of the fillers that have the local anesthetic (lidocaine) mixed in already, greatly improving patient comfort during injection.
What results should you anticipate?
As with any non-surgical facial procedures, you must have practical expectations of the results. Results are subtle but noticeable. Fillers are frequently used to fill the nasolabial folds, the groove extending from the base of the nostril to the corner of the mouth. This fold tends to deepen as we age. However, facial fillers can be used in many other locations in the face. These areas include along the jaw line, folds/lines around the mouth, lips, cheeks, and even under-eye bags. Depressed scars and even individual wrinkles can be filled as well.
What can you expect post-procedure?
Since facial fillers are a non-surgical procedure, there are very minimal side effects. In comparison to typical cosmetic surgical procedures, the office time for these procedures and recovery time are brief. Some mild irritation at the injection site is unavoidable but can easily be camouflaged with liquid make-up or concealer. Mild bruising and swelling may occur, but usually resolves in a few days.
